Congratulations Jenny Lennox!
The NUJ has today been awarded automatic recognition at the London office of the giant US media conglomerate AOL.The decision was made by the Central Arbitration Committee despite fierce objections from the company which was trying to force a ballot - even though the union had proved it had more than 50 percent membership.
This is the NUJ's first recognition victory in a stand alone new media company.
It is a great triumph for Jenny as it was the first project she worked on as a trainee with the NUJ and she has been working at it ever since. Please text her congratulations to 07734 845307.
Now we just need to negotiate an agreement!!
