Amnesty International podcast covers internet censorship

Amnesty International's June Podcast features highlights from the irrepressible.info event held earlier this month in London, including clips of Ron Deibert from the Open Net Initiative, Iranian blogger, Sina Motalebi, and Martha Lane Fox, one of the founders of lastminute.com.

It's available on iTunes if you've got an account, or you can download the mp3/listen to a RealAudio stream on Amnesty International's website.

Non 'Yahoo!' Mailing lists

For members interested in starting a mailing list or discussion group that does not involve Yahoo!, the union's New Media Industrial Council has come up with the following list of lists.
It's worth noting that many NUJ freelances use GreenNet at a cost of £25 to set up and £60 annually (plus VAT), while NMIC itself uses two lists - the open list operated by NUJ Bristol at a similar cost (join at http://lists.bristolnuj.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/nujnewmedia ) and the closed one operated by NUJ Manchester (contact gherman at KeywordsAssociates.com for more info).
